WWE SmackDown kicks off with clips of the Royal Rumble from last Saturday.
We cut live to the arena and the 2025 Royal Rumble winner Jey Uso is shown in between the crowd backstage and he makes his way down to the ring through the crowd.
The entire arena begins to “Yeeet” and Jey has everyone on their feet. The music stops and the fans chant “one more time” and the music plays again with everyone “Yeeting”. The music dies down and Jey says he had a hell of a week. He got a lot of love from his family, his friends and from the fans. The fans chant “You deserve it” and he circles around the ring.
Jey says he is there to pick a Champion to main event WrestleMania. On Monday night, he had the ring general Gunther and it’s only right for him to be on SmackDown and stand face to face with the WWE Champion. Jey introduces Cody Rhodes to the ring.
Out comes Cody Rhodes to a loud pop from the crowd. He and Jey hug in the ring and Cody says he thinks he knows what Jey wants to talk about. Jey tells Cody he knows why he is there, he has two choices to make. He can stand across from Cody at WrestleMania and that will mean a lot to him. Or he can stand next to him with Cody still WWE Champion and himself new World Heavyweight Champion.
Cody tells him it’s a choice to make and he spoke to his doctor this week. He told him that he has fluid in his elbow that needs to be drained and a few other stuff too. He says his doctor is a nice guy but he isn’t WWE Champion. Cody tells Jey that his heart is full and he is very proud of Jey Uso winning the Royal Rumble. He tells Jey that it is his choice but that WrestleMania sign, he had his choice taken away from him last year but this year, Jey makes his. He says it was a big year for them, they won Tag Team gold together this year. Cody tells him that in order for his title reign to be complete, he has to go to WrestleMania and win. Both men shake hands and Jacob Fatu’s music hits and out he comes with Tama Tonga.
Tama shushes everyone and Fatu tells Cody that last year, Cody took that title from his family. But as of now, his family needs that title back. Fatu says that takes him to Jey Uso. He tells him that if there was anyone to bring back that title to the family, it sure as hell would not be Jey.
Tama Tonga advances and Jey super kicks him but Fatu knocks Jey down. Jacob runs into Cody’s elbow and Cody is down in the corner. Fatu goes for the hip attack but Jey hits him with a super kick and Cody with the Cody Cutter. Fatu gets back to his feet but both Cody and Jey clothesline him to the outside of the ring.
Jey’s music hits as Jacob and Tama Tonga retreat.

Women’s Elimination Chamber Qualifying Match – Bianca Belair with Naomi vs. Piper Niven with Chelsea Green
The bell rings and we are under way. Bianca goes for the KOD but Niven pushes her away. Bianca with spears in the corner and she climbs the second rope, hitting Niven with right hands but Niven slides under her and grabs her by the braid. She pulls Bianca towards her and hits her with a clothesline. Niven runs towards Bianca but Bianca moves out of the way and Niven falls to the outside of the ring. Bianca grabs her on the outside but Niven pushes her onto the ring apron.
-Commercial Break-
Back from commercial and Bianca with a cross body off the top rope. She goes for the KOD but Niven with a headbutt and she throws Bianca to the ropes, slamming her down onto the mat. She goes for the cover but Bianca kicks out. Niven goes for a senton but Bianca moves out of the way and Niven hits the mat. She gets back up and Bianca hits her with a spear. She goes for the cover but Niven kicks out and as she does, she kicks Bianca away. Bianca falls into the corner and Niven hits her with a cannonball in the corner. Niven climbs the second rope and jumps onto Bianca. She goes for the cover but Bianca kicks out. Niven goes for a powerslam but Bianca lands on her feet and kicks Niven in the face. Bianca gets her on her shoulders and hits her with the KOD! She goes for the cover and gets the pin.
Winner: Bianca Belair
We cut backstage to Nick Aldis and in comes Carmelo Hayes. Aldis tells Hayes that Adam Pearce had a request for Hayes to face a Raw superstar. Hayes tells him that won’t happen. The door knocks and in comes Akiro Tazawa and Aldis tells Hayes that Hayes attacked Tazawa at the Royal Rumble and could have cost him a match at WrestleMania. Hayes says he changes his mind and begins to walk away. Tazawa yells out “air ball” as Hayes walks away.
-Commercial Break-
The WWE Tag Team Champions, DIY are in the ring. Gargano says they beat The Motor City Machine Guns twice at the Royal Rumble and officially, they are the best tag team in the world. Ciampa says that the chances of The Motor City Machine Guns ever holding the titles again are dead and it’s hard because they have nothing but respect for them.
Ciampa says 11 years ago, The Motor City Machine Guns were their favorite tag team. Ciampa asks everyone to stand up and out come Pretty Deadly. They tell DIY that they wanted to come out and remind DIY how many times they helped them retain their belts. DIY tells them this is a time to have a minute of silence for The Motor City Machine Guns.
Out comes Nick Aldis and he tells DIY that they don’t have a say to call the shot and Pretty Deadly can earn a title shot. He announces Pretty Deadly against DIY for right now and if Pretty Deadly win, they will earn a Tag Team title match. DIY argue that they are in their street clothes but Aldis makes the match.

DIY vs. Pretty Deadly
Back from commercial and the match is under way. Kit Wilson with forearms onto Gargano in the ring. A spinning back elbow by Wilson. In comes Ciampa but Wilson knocks him down. Prince is tagged in and they double team DIY. Wilson with a double knees onto Gargano and he goes for the cover but Ciampa breaks it up. Ciampa is tagged in and he throws Wilson to the outside of the ring. Ciampa and Prince with uppercuts in the ring but Ciampa rolls Prince up but Wilson breaks it up. Prince rolls Ciampa up and Prince uses the ropes for leverage and gets the pin.
Winners: Pretty Deadly

Back from commercial, Andrade and The Miz are backstage. The Miz tells him that he was impressed with him last week and he can learn from him. Andrade tells him that he learned from him, he learned how to beat him and Andrade walks away.
In comes Cody Rhodes and Miz tells Cody that this young crop is different from them and Miz has his back. Cody tells Miz he doesn’t need him to have his back. Miz tells him last year, it was all about Cody and this year, it’s about Jey. He asks Cody if he will still be Jey’s friend if he picks him at WrestleMania and Miz walks away.
-Commercial Break-
Drew McIntyre says that after he got eliminated by some coward at the RUmble, he drove to home, slept and when he woke up, he realized that he is always angry. And he is always angry because of the toxic environment that is Raw. He continues to say that he is on SmackDown for Cody’s WWE Championship.
Jimmy’s music hits and out he comes. He tells Drew that he has to earn his spot tonight and he is there to earn his spot at the Elimination Chamber. Drew him Jey and apologizes, he tells him that he still can’t tell them apart. Out comes LA Knight and he cuts a promo, talking to the camera, he says that it’s okay for men to cry. LA Knight says “I’m sorry, I just had to get my stuff in” and we see Drew laughing.

Men’s Elimination Chamber Qualifier – Drew McIntyre vs. Jimmy Uso vs. LA Knight
Back from commercial and the match is under way. The fight spills to the outside of the ring and LA Knight slams both of them into the announce table.
-Commercial Break-
Back from commercial, Jimmy gets Drew in a tree of woe while LA Knight stomps on him. Jimmy is on the top rope, LA Knight jumps onto the top rope, he suplexes Jimmy down while Drew pulls up and pulls LA Knight down at the same time. Drew and LA Knight get to their feet, Drew goes for the futureshock DDT but LA Knight reverses it into a DDT. LA Knight on the second rope, he jumps to the top rope and lands an elbow drop. He goes for the cover but Jimmy breaks it up. Jimmy pushes LA Knight away and Drew with a spinebuster. He goes for the cover but LA Knight kicks out. Drew with a neck breaker onto Jimmy and LA Knight rolls to the outside of the ring. Drew goes for the Claymore but Jimmy superkicks him and clotheslines Drew to the outside. In comes LA Knight but Jimmy kicks him onto the side of the head and he super kicks LA Knight. Jimmy climbs the top rope and he lands the Uso Splash. He goes for the cover but Drew pulls the referee to the outside. Drew gets on the ring apron but Jimmy hangs him on the top rope. Jimmy to the outside and he super kicks Drew who falls onto the announce table. Jimmy gets back in the ring, he goes for the Uso Splash but LA Knight rolls him up into the cover but Jimmy kicks out. LA Knight goes for the BFT onto Jimmy but Drew hits him with the Claymore. He goes for the cover on LA Knight and gets the pin.
Winner: Drew McIntyre
Byron Saxton is backstage with Damian Priest. He tells Saxton that he will go to the Elimination Chamber too but in comes Braun Strowman. He tells Damian that he has to qualify and next week, Priest is in the ring with two of the biggest, baddest that WWE has to ever. Priest says they have both walked out of WrestleMania has Champions and one day, Jacob Fatu will too. But this year, it will be him. Braun tells him that he will be in the ring with a wild animal next week but also with a monster. Priest tells him he never overlooks anything and walks away.
-Commercial Break-
A pre-recorded promo from Kevin Owens in his car airs. He shows the scars on his face and says that those scars will stay with him together. And during the match, Sami Zayn stayed at ringside, doing nothing about it. And during the Rumble match, he saw Zayn rush to the corner to help Roman Reigns but for him, he did nothing. He tells Zayn that he’s a horrible friend, a disgusting human being and he will never forgive him but that Zayn will pay.
Akira Tozawa vs. Carmelo Hayes
Before the match starts, Hayes tells Tozawa he knows that he’s not talking about air balls. He says Tozawa that he looks like Cody Rhodes got left in the dryer for too long.
As Hayes is about to get in the ring, Tozawa pushes him off the ring apron. He throws Hayes back into the ring and the bell rings. Tozawa with a hurricanrana off the second rope and Hayes falls to the outside of the ring. Tozawa with a cross body onto him on the outside.
-Commercial Break-
Back from commercial, Tozawa with a jumping DDT. He goes for the cover but Hayes kicks out. Tozawa gets on the top rope and jumps down but Hayes moves out of the way. Tozawa lands on his feet and Hayes with a hurricanrana. He grabs Tozawa but Tozawa with a kick to the side of the head. Tozawa but Hayes climbs the second rope. Both men with right hands but Tozawa with a sunset flip. He goes for the cover but Hayes kicks out. Tozawa goes for a German but Hayes rolls him up but Tozawa kicks out. Hayes jumps off the second rope and lands a DDT onto Tozawa. Hayes climbs the top rope and lands Nothing But Net. He goes for the cover and gets the pin.
Winner: Carmelo Hayes
We cut to WWE Hall of Famer Jerry “The King” Lawler who is at ringside.
We cut to the back and R-Truth is with Tozawa, holding him. He sees Jey Uso backstage and he drops Tozawa to the floor. He tells Jey that he always saw him as a king and now he is King of the Ring. Jey tells him he’s a Rumble winner and he should go check on Tozawa.
In comes Cody and Jey tells him he would like to go face to face with Cody but he has personal problems with Gunther. Jey tells him he is undecided and walks away.
The 2025 Women’s Royal Rumble Charlotte Flair walks down to the ring.
Charlotte Flair gets in the ring and she asks the crowd if they like her or if they hate her. She says when they boo her, she hears money. She tells the crowd that they can’t make up their minds and she lives rent free in their minds. She says they are obsessed with her looks, her Championships, her last name, obsessed with everything Charlotte Flair.
She asks if they really thought she would be gone for 14 months, come back and not win the Royal Rumble. She says she entered the Royal Rumble with 29 unserious women. She says she became the first ever two time Women’s Royal Rumble winner and here they are on her time. She wants to feel inspired. She says she went to Raw and saw Rhea Ripley, she went to NXT and saw Julia and now she is on SmackDown and she wants to see if Tiffany… And we hear “It’s Tiffy time”.
Out comes the WWE Women’s Champion, Tiffany Stratton who comes down.
Stratton gets in the ring, raises her Championship in the air and grabs a microphone. The fans chant “Tiffy Time”. She congratulates Flair and welcomes her back. She says nobody is a bigger Charlotte Flair fan than herself. And she thought that WWE would not survive without Flair, she got injured and everyone cared… For a day and she came along. Ticket sales went up and WWE is hotter than it has ever been and she is at the top of that.
Flair asks her if she said something. She tells Tiffany that she speaks when she tells her she can speak and she tells Stratton to get in line. Stratton says she has been in line and she has always been compared to Flair. She tells Flair to pick her and when she beats her at WrestleMania, she will no longer be the next Charlotte Flair. She will be the one and only Tiffany Stratton.
The fans chant “Tiffy Time”. Flair tells her when she was in the ring with Rhea, she saw a kid. But standing in the ring with her, she sees a child who is begging her to make her a star at WrestleMania. She tells Stratton if she wants her to pick her, she has to get on her hands and knees.
Nia’s music hits and out she comes with Candice LeRae. Nia says this back and forth is cute but it’s premature. Candice tells her it is because Nia will be Champion again. Nia says that she spoke to Nick Aldis and instead of her having to face five women at the Elimination Chamber, she just has to face one next week. Nia says her and Tiffany are going one on one for that Championship. She tells Flair that if she wants to become Champion at WrestleMania, she will have to go through er.
Flair tells her this got interesting and she will have to stick around to see what happens.
Alexa’s music hits and out comes Alexa Bliss to a pop from the crowd.

Women’s Elimination Chamber qualifying match – Alexa Bliss vs. Candice LeRae
The bell rings and we are under way. Bliss goes for Sister Abigail but LeRae gets out of it and slams Bliss onto the mat. She goes for the cover but Bliss kicks out. LeRae with a knee to the back and she slams Bliss into the corner. LeRae stomps on Bliss in the corner but Bliss trips her up. Bliss climbs the second rope but LeRae with a right hand. LeRae goes for a suplex but Bliss with right hands and LeRae falls onto the mat. Bliss gets on the top rope but LeRae rolls onto the ring apron. Bliss goes down and grabs LeRae but LeRae slams her face first onto the ring apron.
-Commercial Break-
Back from commercial, Bliss with a shoulder tackle followed by right hands. A drop kick by Bliss followed by the double knees. Alexa goes for the cover but LeRae kicks out. LeRae on the ring apron and Alexa grabs her but LeRae with a neck breaker on the second rope. LeRae climbs the second rope and lands a drop kick. She goes for the cover but Bliss kicks out. LeRae runs to the ropes but Bliss grabs her and hits her with the Sister Abigail. She goes for the cover and gets the pin.
Winner: Alexa Bliss
We cut backstage and we see Byron Saxton with Chelsea Green and Piper Niven. Chelsea says that she will beat Naomi next week in their Elimination Chamber qualifier and go to WrestleMania.

Cody Rhodes and Jey Uso vs. Jacob Fatu and Tama Tonga
The bell rings and we are under way. Cody and Tama Tonga start the match. Cody goes for a suplex but Tama Tonga lands on his feet and backs into his corner. Jacob Fatu tags himself in. Cody with a right hand and he goes for the Cody Cutter but Fatu blocks it and hits Cody with a right hand.
-Commercial Break-
Back from commercial, Jey with a flying right hand onto Tama Tonga and he knocks Fatu off the ring apron. Jey with a kick to the side of the head of Tama Tonga. He goes for the cover but Tama Tonga kicks out. In comes Fatu and Cody but the referee stops Cody. Fatu super kicks Jey with the referee distracted. Tama Tonga goes for the cover but Jey kicks out. Fatu is tagged in and they double team Jey. Fatu knocks Cody off the ring apron. He gets Jey onto his shoulders and tags Tama Tonga in. Tama Tonga with a senton onto Jey. Tama Tonga goes for a Samoan drop but Jey lands on his feet and both men with double clotheslines. Cody and Fatu are both tagged in and Cody with a snap powerslam onto Fatu. Cody with a disaster kick followed by a Cody Cutter from the top rope. He goes for the cover but Fatu kicks out. Cody goes for the Cross Rhodes but Fatu pushes him into the corner. Tama Tonga is tagged in and he runs towards Cody but Cody kicks him away. Cody climbs the top rope but Fatu pushes Cody off the top rope. Tama Tonga with a jumping DDT. He goes for the cover but Cody kicks out. Fatu gets in and runs to the ropes but Jey grabs his leg and drags him to the outside. Jey get sin the ring and lands a suicide dive. Cody grabs Tama Tonga and hits him with the Cross Rhodes. He goes for the cover and gets the pin.
Winners: Cody Rhodes and Jey Uso
Cody celebrates in the ring and in comes Solo Sikoa who hits Cody with the Samoan Spike as SmackDown goes off the air.
